The Opportunity
The Engineer III is part of a team responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of Lake Arrowhead Village. This position is responsible for the safe operation and function of the property. The position is also responsible for relaying information regarding property maintenance to the Engineering Supervisor in a timely manner.
Primary Responsibilities
Maintain work logs, schedules, and trade stock supplies and inventory as directed by the Facilities Manager
Submits weekly work logs to the Facilities Manager
Submits daily overview of work progress
Safely use common HVAC trade tools, hand tools, power tools, testing equipment. Must be able to work safely around electrical systems, water systems, and or mechanical systems at all phases of maintenance, repair, and replacement
Perform daily safety checks of mechanical rooms
Must be knowledgeable in Hydronic (Heat Pump) systems, Atmospheric Boilers and Cooling Towers, pumps, motors, controls systems
Must have the Universal EPA Certification and the ability to ensure all required work done meets and or exceeds national HVAC standards and local codes.
Coordinates with Facilities Manager for updates, purchase orders, and project repair status
Obtains bids for contracted projects and submits to Facilities Manager for approval
Perform Troubleshoot and maintenance, repairs and replacement of any and all HVAC related systems to the properties, buildings, and structures
Participates in scheduling of repairs and projects
On-call for after hours emergencies -- weekends/holidays
Available to work holidays when property is open to the public. Alternative days off will be provided with the same pay period
Perform all duties assigned by management to include all other phases of maintenance operations to the properties, buildings, and structures
Do you fit the Bill?
3 years experience in Commercial Real Estate/Property Engineering preferred
Must have High School diploma or equivalent GED
Working knowledge of MS Word and Outlook
Working knowledge of building, plumbing, and electrical systems
Team building experience is preferred
Ability to follow direction
Operation of light construction equipment and vehicles
Other essential capabilities include commitment to meet deadlines, integrity, and work ethic
Must possess strong attention to detail and accuracy
